I just finished reading The story of an African Farm. It isn’t light reading but it is absorbing if a little melancholoy. There are lots of big issues and questions addressed in the book. I don’t necessarily agree with some of the views the author makes, but many to do with suffering, the existence of God, religious bigotry, the position of women and the treatment of particularly blacks are still relevant today over 100 years after the book was published.
I don’t remember how I came across the book, I doubt it was on a tram! Perhaps I picked it off the shelf in a book shop – the title alone is intriguing.

Hmmm, that was interesting. Looks like somethings will always remain mystery.

I myself has been trying to solve the mystery of the legend that forces you to have “earn it before

having it”, for a wile now. Could not understand much though.

Let me know in case you get to understand the mystery of the Old Hound and the Legend
